   The nominee should demonstrate a proactive and ongoing commitment to addressing climate change. This includes not only past achievements but also current and future endeavors aimed at mitigating climate change.

6. Community and Collaboration:
   The nominee should have a track record of working collaboratively with others in the climate space, fostering partnerships and building networks that enhance the overall impact of their work.

Recognizing 9Zero Heroes serves to inspire and unite the community around the shared goal of combating climate change. Celebrating these impactful successes helps to amplify their work and encourages broader participation in climate action.

Selection Process:

• Nomination: Nominations are submitted via the 9Zero website's submission form.

• Deliberation: Nominations are reviewed and deliberated on by the 9Zero leadership community, who select the most deserving individuals based on the above criteria.

9Zero Hero Award Ceremony:

• Ceremonies occur 4-6 times annually at 9Zero's 350 California Street location.

• Each event lasts about an hour and includes:

  • An award presentation.

  • A fireside chat with the award recipient.

  • A Q&A session with attendees.
